Vintage Prop Items for Hire in Devon, Dorset, Cornwall and Somerset

The following contains the items available to hire from us, prices and delivery depend on quantity hired and distance to travel.  Hire days are a total of 3, and we also deliver and collect on Sundays and Bank Holidays at no extra charge. Hire Vintage Step Ladder & Props for your Wedding

Many of our clients hire our vintage items and DIY their event.  If you would like to hire from us here’s how to create this look:

You can hire the following from us to create the above image (Style 1):
Step Ladder
Fake books
Books wrapped with co-ordinating ribbons of your choice (2 sets of three)
Lace covered glass jam jars (3) with battery operated flickering tea lights (evenings or dark areas)
or the above can be used for flower arrangements instead
Glass shabby chic perfume bottles
Large jam jars for flowers
White standing heart
Total Hire cost £65.00 (see note at bottom regarding delivery prices)

The florist created flat arrangements of fresh flowers to sit on the ladder steps and also to pop into the large jam jars.

If you would like us to source lavender or summer plants, etc please ask for an additional quote.  However, we do not supply floral arrangements, however we are happy to liaise with your florist to discuss your requirements for an additional charge.


Prices quoted above are as a package and hire terms are for a maximum of 3 days, for example we deliver the day before your event and collect the day after.  Delivery charges are subject to availability and distance from our base in North Devon.  When enquiring please let us know where your venue is so we can ensure you are quoted the best possible price.

We have had a fabulous year of catering for weddings, parties, birthdays and picnics in 2013 and would like to thank everyone who chose to book us and for all your fabulous testimonials.  From intimate weddings for 2 people to birthday parties and afternoon teas we have really enjoyed taking part in so many special events.

We are really looking forward to catering for all the weddings already booked for 2o14 and our new venture, which we shall make more public in due course.

Wedding Industry Awards – Regional Finalist

We are jumping up and down with excitement at Vintage Party HQ today after receiving confirmation that we have made it through to the Regional Finals of the Wedding Industry Awards. This means so much to us to know that we had the support from our lovely couples whom we have catered for this year and we can’t thank them all enough for taking the time to vote for us.

It’s lovely that our menu of Afternoon Tea is just as popular today as it always has been; there is a timeless elegance to taking tea which blends so well with weddings.

Afternoon Tea in the Secret Garden

In August we were privileged to cater for an intimate wedding for two, this time in the Secret Garden for a ‘runaway bride wedding’, which is a wonderful and personal day designed just for the couple to get married on their own.  Hidden behind a wall is a small patio area, pond and  conservatory with lovely views of the lake with the willow tree swooping down to touch the water.  Here are a handful of photos.

Picnic at Millbrook Estate for Paul & Nicola

Congratulations once again to Paul and Nicola who married at Millbrook and chose one of our picnic hampers for the afternoon celebration meal  We don’t always get photos from picnics, but we asked Jim Wileman their photographer for a photo and he sent this beautiful one.

Andrew & Sue Afternoon Tea at Millbrook Estate

Saturday was a lovely day in North Devon, not too hot this time so ideal for a wedding at Millbrook Estate.  The family had their photos taken and Andrew and his eldest son had arranged for them all to take a ride on our country lanes in a vintage car, all kept secret!   When they returned their afternoon tea was waiting for them with extra cake and jelly just for little Ethan, who looked fabulous in his suit!

A couple of weeks after their wedding we received the following to share with you:

“The Vintage Party Company provided Afternoon Tea for us, after our wedding at Millbrook.  It was brilliant. Carolyn was extremely helpful before the day, with useful suggestions, accommodating changes and even making the sandwiches to order, just how we wanted them.  All the food and drinks, the sandwiches, scones, cakes, homemade lemonade and of course tea were excellent.  The vintage china added that special touch. I really can’t praise Carolyn enough. When I stood back and considered the quality, care, attention and quantity(!) that was provided I was stunned it was all done for such a competitive price. She clearly loves her work and it shows.  Everything including the cakes were homemade.  Their quality and freshness stood shoulders above anything you could buy yourself. The food was excellent.  The vintage china added to the brilliance of it all.  The vintage tea party added to the memory of a special day and I’d even go on to say it enhanced those memories.
